No doubt, this is a good initiative taken by the government to make the country more digital. The government is also working hard to crack down against smugglers of mobile phones in Pakistan. For that reason, PTA has introduced Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS). The system is working quite well since its launch. Recently, we have come to know that PTA has again extended the deadline for mobile phone users. Now the smartphone users in Pakistan can register their cellular devices with the authority till January 15.
